Dell Technologies World 2023 – Introducing Project Fort Zero
The journey to achieving full end-to-end Zero Trust is long, complex, and the integration burden is quite high. It requires a new architectural approach and the integration of dozens of point solutions and so it can take many years to achieve full zero trust adoption. Unfortunately that means it remains out of reach for most organizations. That’s why today I’m so excited to announce Project Fort Zero, a Dell-led industry initiative with 30+ partners designed to accelerate the path to Zero Trust. Within the next year we will deliver a fully integrated, end-to-end, advanced maturity Zero Trust private cloud solution, validated by the U.S. Department of Defense, The goal of Project Fort Zero is to make Zero Trust a reality for all.
This all started about a year ago, in a meeting we had with the U.S Department of Defense. They shared that their highest priority was the adoption of Zero Trust and asked how Dell could help them accelerate that adoption. Since then, we’ve continued to work hand-and-hand with the Department of Defense CIO office. We’re leveraging their extensive investments in developing and engineering Zero Trust over the past five years to bring to market an Advanced Zero Trust private cloud – one that will be available to all customers regardless of industry.
We have completed some major milestones in the journey and we have a few more to go.
The first step for us was to establish the Zero Trust Center of Excellence at Dreamport – This is the government’s premier cybersecurity innovation center where we are building Dell’s private cloud that will enable us to bring Zero Trust to market for customers.
And we’ve built a Ecosystem of partners, including the likes of Intel, NVIDIA, Palo Alto Networks, VMware and others to bring this advanced Zero Trust private cloud to life.
We are now completing the integration of the technology from this ecosystem to support the 45 capabilities that the DoD has defined to defeat cyber adversaries.
